Premier Dance Academy accepts cash, check, and credit card payments (a convenience fee of 3% will be added to your total if you choose to use a credit card for payment)
-First month’s tuition is due at the time of registration along with a registration fee.
-Monthly tuition is due by the 15th of each month. Any tuition that is late will result in a $25 late fee each month it is overdue.
-Accounts will be updated in the parent/guardian’s DanceStudio-Pro account where transactions can be monitored by logging in.
-If tuition is not received within a 60 day period, the dancer will be sitting out of class until the balance is paid and may lead to removal from a class or performance.
-Returned checks will be charged $25.
-Automatic payment is available through your DanceStudio-Pro account by selecting “automatic billing” in your parent portal. You will be charged the monthly tuition amount (plus the convenience fee listed above) on the 15th of each month, or the next business day. June tuition (half) will be due along with the May tuition payment.
-Monthly tuition remains the same regardless of the number of weeks in the month.
Tuition payments are non-refundable. Tuition will not be adjusted for students missing class while participating in activities that conflict with their regular dance schedule. Monthly tuition must be maintained to hold your place in class unless there is a valid medical reason provided by the student’s doctor.
All payments received will be applied to the oldest charge due on accounts. For example- If tuition is past due, and a payment is received on time for a costume deposit, that payment will be applied to the outstanding tuition balance. This policy applies to all accounts.

-A costume deposit of $45 is due for each class in which your child is enrolled by October 4th.
-Remaining costume balances will be due by December 6th.

Premier Dance Academy will closely follow the Auburn Public Schools system’s decision for canceling school and classes. The days we are closed however, will not always be the same due to the fact that the roads may clear up in the afternoon or worsen as nighttime approaches depending on when the weather hits. If you have questions or are uncertain about whether or not the studio is open, please email the studio. There will also be a posting on the studio Facebook and an email will be sent if class is cancelled or delayed. We do not pro-rate or deduct from tuition due to weather. Students may attend extra classes free of charge to compensate for any classes that were cancelled due to weather.
Students are expected to attend all classes regularly from September through June. If a student misses a class (excluding private lessons), he/she can take a make-up class at an appropriate level approved by teachers/directors.
Perfect Attendance Award Policy: A dancer receives a perfect attendance trophy if he/she had attended all classes from the time of enrollment through recital (Enrollment start date deadline of Nov 1) . An absence that is designated as a mandatory studio related event does not disqualify the dancer from the award. Competition is an excused absence if the dancer is required to dance on the day of their missed class, travel days to hotels or extended vacations are not excused.
Regular attendance is imperative for consistent progress and to ensure that the dancer receives the maximum benefit from the class. This is especially true in group classes where a student’s absence will have an effect on the formations involving other students and placement in the choreography of routines. If a dancer must miss class for any reason please call or email the studio prior to the scheduled class so that we may notify the teacher. If a student knows in advance that they will be absent from class, please let the instructor know before the day of the class.
We build holidays into our schedule just like the school districts do. We do not schedule make up classes because they are planned and on our calendar. Each month consists of classes occurring 3 – 5 times monthly where tuition is unaffected. If for any reason your class meets 1-2 that month with no make-up option, we will adjust your account to the drop- in rates if less expensive for the individual.
***Private Lesson Make Up Classes
Same policy, if your dancer has 3 – 5 scheduled rehearsals tuition is unaffected with no make up class. If you wish to schedule an additional class the private lesson drop-in rate of $25 (solo) or $20 (duo/trio) will be applied.
Any inappropriate behavior or language from students and parents/guardians will not be tolerated and may result in a student’s suspension or expulsion from Premier Dance Academy. All students and parents/guardians are expected to be well-behaved, courteous and respectful to instructors, fellow students and parents/guardians, staff, and all others. We are a private business and reserve the right to request un-enrollment to students as deemed necessary.
Depending on enrollment, class sizes will vary. Classes that do not meet minimum enrollment may be combined or canceled. Please be patient the first month of classes. This is a transition time for students and instructors, while we learn student’s strengths and weaknesses. After evaluating each student, they may be moved to another level. Class sizes will be finalized at the director’s discretion.
Class placement and advancement is based on skill mastery and instructor recommendation, not just by age. Placement will be based on the student’s age, ability, potential, length of study and experience. The student’s attitude, interests and goals will also be taken into consideration. Students will be evaluated throughout each semester to determine if they are in the class that addresses their needs and abilities.
Parents, siblings or visitors are not permitted in the dance rooms unless invited in by an instructor or on special occasions. Guests in the lobby are able to watch the classes on the televisions in the waiting area. Students are not allowed in the dance rooms until class time. No chewing gum, candy, food and/or drinks are allowed in the dance rooms. Please do not wear street shoes into the dance rooms! Dance shoes, socks or bare feet only! Please remember that dance shoes should never be worn outside of the dance studio.
-All private lessons must be approved by the Director, Ashley Sullivan.
-In order to take a private lesson of any kind, the student must be enrolled in a class of that genre. These dancers must also additionally be enrolled in ballet if the chosen genre requires it.
-Private lessons may be added on in addition to registered classes at any point during the year pending space and teacher availability.
-Dropping a class at any point in the year after registration to add a private lesson (solo, duo, trio) is not permitted.
-Private Lessons: 24- hour cancellation notice entitles student to reschedule. Limited to one per month, reschedule time to be chosen at teacher’s discretion.
-Remember, tuition is due whether or not a dancer is able to attend all classes in a month. Credit is not given for missed classes or for weather related cancellations.

Testing positive for COVID-19: Students, teachers, and staff who test positive for COVID-19 must stay home and isolate for at least the first 5 days. If there are no symptoms or symptoms are improving, they may return to the studio on Day 6 and must continue to wear a mask at all times through Day 10. If anyone who has tested positive has or develops symptoms, they must continue to stay home, potentially beyond the 5 or 10 days, until they have not had a fever for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medicine and their other symptoms are improving.
Close contacts (defined by being within 6 feet of someone with COVID-19 while indoors, for at least 15 minutes, while they were symptomatic or within 48 hours before onset AND within the 48 hours before their test was taken or anytime in the 10 days after the test): Students, teachers, and staff (regardless of vaccination status) do not have to quarantine unless they are symptomatic. Masks must be worn for 10 days. Any close contact that develops symptoms during the 10 days should isolate and take a rapid or PCR test on Day 5. If they test positive they must follow the isolation guidance above.
Thank you for your ongoing patience and support as we do our best to keep all of our dancers, instructors, and staff happy and healthy!
